The Practice nurses are available by appointment through the reception staff. They can help with travel advice, removal of stitches, infant and adult immunisation, dietary advice, dressings, ear syringing, contraception and advice on a wide range of health matters, including stopping smoking. They are also able to help with minor injuries and illnesses.
The Practice nurses are happy to offer telephone advice at any time during opening hours. You may be asked to hold on for the nurse or for the nurse to return your call later.

Phlebotomist/Health Care Assistant
The Phlebotomist undertakes investigations requested by the doctors and takes blood tests.

The Midwife holds antenatal clinics and classes and visits all new mothers and newborn babies in their own homes. She can advise you of local parentcraft classes and is happy to discuss and answer any questions.

The team provide expert professional nursing care at home for people of all ages during acute or chronic illness. They offer advice and support on matters concerning health, including continence, to patients, their families and carers. By working closely with other health care professionals and Social Services they aim to meet the needs of the local community.

The Health Visitor is a qualified nurse with special training and experience in child health, health promotion and health education. She is here to listen to you, and help, advise and support in all sorts of situations, including normal child development. A qualified nursery nurse works alongside the Health Visitors.
Community Psychiatric Nurses
The community psychiatric nurses are based at Sandalwood Court, Highworth Road, Swindon, Tel 01793 836800. They provide care and support in the community to patients and their carers.
Counsellor & Psychology Team
The team is available to counsel patients with relationship and emotional difficulties, anxiety, depression, phobias etc. A referral from a doctor or a self-referral can be made – please speak to a receptionist.
The Physiotherapist holds clinics at the surgery on Thursday and Friday mornings for the assessment and treatment of joints, soft tissue and muscular problems. A referral from doctor or nurse is necessary.
